Standing in Solidarity with #BlackLivesMatter

For too long, the forces of discrimination and intolerance have led to injustice toward members of the Black community, other people of color, and vulnerable populations.

Over the twenty years of our firm's history, we've seen a broader embrace of diversity and the growing recognition that innovation is born out of different points of view. This is progress of a kind. But there's much yet to be done, and we think a greater sense of urgency is needed to ensure equitable access not only to justice, but opportunity. Diversity in our industry is sorely lacking, and we are committed to doing what we can to improve it, in the following ways:

(1) We will seek out candidates of diverse backgrounds in our future hiring efforts, to increase the diversity of our team, and provide broader access to employment opportunities.

(2) We are supporting BlackGirlsCode in the form of a financial contribution, and encourage others to do the same. Their mission is to empower girls of color ages 7 to 17 to become innovators in STEM fields, leaders in their communities, and builders of their own futures through exposure to computer science and technology.

We're optimists by nature. We think the future will be brighter, more equitable, and more just. But real change won't happen without the collective efforts of our community, and our industry.
